CODE OF CONDUCT
Mission Statement and Participant Code of Conduct
The Golden Dice Awards® was formed to provide recognition and celebrate the exceptional creators and designers of the tabletop industry. We exist to shine a light on the remarkable projects that are released every year and honor the diligence of the creators behind the games we all enjoy. At the core of every game are the skilled professionals—writers, artists, editors, and graphic designers—whose work is fundamental to the gaming experience.
This initiative is entirely powered by volunteers. The team acts as a support system for our Award Committee, who votes on submissions while being a part of the industry they hope to recognize.
Code of Conduct – Publishers
Upon submission of products, publishers agree:
Submit products through the designated submission form, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
Provide a digital version or video content for each entry to the Award Committee.
Send one physical product to the awards organization for display at the ceremony.
Ensure all submitted products fall within the designated eligibility period for publication.
If submitting electronically, include a download link in the application or email the document to submissions@goldendiceawards.com.
For podcast submissions, provide a website link and a clip no longer than fifteen minutes that showcases the best moments of the podcast. Judges will use this as a basis for their review, but may also listen to additional segments as needed for final nominations.
Acknowledge that upon submission, these copies become the property of the awards and will remain so indefinitely, even in cases of disqualification or ineligibility.
Assume all shipping costs and take full responsibility for delivering products to the organization.
Avoid attempts to influence judges directly through:
Private communications not shared with all judges and the organization.
Providing additional ineligible published materials without prior approval from the business manager, ensuring they are given to all judges equally.
Offering promises of future ineligible materials, employment, or other benefits.
Respect the principle of one person = one vote, ensuring no one casts more than one vote per person or encourages others to vote multiple times or fraudulently.
Refrain from attempting to sway the selection of judges through recommendations or criticisms. Publishers who publicly endorse or campaign for or against a specific judge during the nomination and voting periods will be ineligible for product consideration that year. This includes statements from official company accounts and owners.
